As schools across Europe re-open for the new academic year this week, we thought it would be a good idea to take a snapshot of an event we attended in Madrid a few months ago.
We went to Madrid to attend a forum on SELFIE – a new digital tool for schools in the European Union to let them take a virtual self-portrait of their digital readiness and help them prepare for the IT challenges facing their pupils and teachers in the years to come. The data gathered from the tool is fed back to the school with recommendations – and used to build a local, national and Europe-wide picture of the state of IT in education.
