Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)

We had thought that the big news item at this point would be Brexit - which it still is, of course - but that's been completely overshadowed by Coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Already, several large events we had been booked for have been cancelled or postponed, and many event organisers will be monitoring the news very carefully indeed.

It's reassuring to see so much effort going into management and prevention, and medical teams and researchers across the world are working like the clappers, so to speak.

Several of the organisations we work with are closely involved, including (of course) the World Health Organization, and others such as Oxford University's Clinical Research Unit and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

Go or No Go?

If you are an event organiser you may be considering whether to go ahead with your event as planned, or to postpone to a later date. You may also be considering still holding the event, but making it completely digital instead of physically gathering all the attendees together in the same place. In either scenario we can support you.

You are probably already familiar with our In the Moment paper and digital service, but you may not know that we also offer a completely digital service for online events and remote meetings.

On the Air is the service that Drawnalism developed for the evolving world of remote meetings, digital engagement, calls, webinars and podcasts. Drawnalists work live, using video or audio streaming, or as live, from digital recordings, to capture content and discussion. There's a full description of the service here.

If you are interested in trying On the Air, let us know. If you mention the code OTASPEC when you enquire before the end of March 2020 (and at least two weeks before the event), we will give you a 10% discount on our standard rates.
