Artificial Intelligence at work

To Brussels drawing at a seminar for EU-OSHA (the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work) as part of a series of events on future trends in the sector. The subject could not have been hotter - the implications of the use of artificial intelligence and robotics for employees and workers across the European Union.

As you can see above, the graphic recording was drawn live on a tablet at the event, and shared with the attendees so people could see what was being captured as it happened.

With AI such a hot topic at the moment, we thought we should share some of the output from the breakout sessions.

As you’ll see above in the slideshow among the many immediate benefits of using AI and robotics were decreased physical and mental strain for people, less exposure to physical risks of all sorts and more time for research and social time.

Before the event, we’d also been asked to illustrate 11 use case studies, highlighting the safety challenges and opportunities from the use of AI in mutiple sectors; from imaging technology to identify microscopic particles in the air or cancerous cells in endoscopic examinations and to the use of robotics in sawmills and dairy farms.

All of these images - and the ones drawn live at the event - will be used in the report when it is published later in the year. Who knows where applied Artificial Intelligence at work will have taken us by then!
