INK Different - Machine Learning
We are deep diving into some of the ideas making change in the world this year.
And we have started this with a drawn exploration of Machine Learning - something which is a key apart of what is commonly called AI or Artificial Intelligence today.
It’s not easy to avoid the use of literal or descriptive images when thinking about subjects like Machine Learning or Artificial Intelliegence - and thta’s often why you see images liek the ones below. Often they anthropomorphise hardware or software applications to make ther point about an abstraction of human/robot activity.
Such images have their uses as simple ways to express a high-level capture of a large and growing set of technologies which are changing the way humans work.
But what actually is machine learning? And how does it relate to all of the noise and excitem, ent about the possibilities of AI?
Machine learning is the subset of artificial intelligence (AI) focused on algorithms that can “learn” the patterns of training data and, subsequently, make accurate inferences about new data.
This pattern recognition ability enables machine learning models to make decisions or predictions without explicit, hard-coded instructions.

There’s a bit more about some of the many elements that are included in this broad definition in the short video below.
Drawnalism INK Different Masterclass - Machine Learning
In INK Different Masterclasses, we’ll look at key topics across business, societies and thought. Our goal is to help make complex subjects a little easier and more fun to grasp. We will be using the power of drawing to bring some clarity, and insights into areas of development and change.
