Meetings of matter and mind
Meetings are the skill and art of putting things together to produce a harmonious and beneficial result.
Meetings can also apply to inert materials such as pen and ink and paper - or, to flesh and bone and manufactured materials for a medical or surgical process such as application of a prosthesis or in orthotics.
The immense challenge of making any meeting work really came home at our work for the International Society of Prosthesis and Orthotics at their Annual Conference In October 2018. The theme of the event was 'Advancing our understanding of the body interface' - and although we have worked in the subject area before, it was an eye opening learning experience right from the start.
